The Cleburne Police Department Tactical Unit is often activated to respond to the following types of calls:

• hostage situation
• barricaded person
• high risk warrant service
• any other time that additional manpower is needed on a call.
                                    

Many times when the tactical team is deployed, they are accompanied by the Crisis Negotiators. This is a 5 person team that has received special training in how to safely resolve critical incidents and hostage and/or crisis situations. They use various tactics to communicate with persons involved in a crisis situation to safely resolve the situation without the use of force.
